These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, AI resume builder, cover letter writing service, and any related applications (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, placing an order, or simply browsing, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are

Rezumia is a career-services platform that combines AI-assisted resume tools with expert human writers. References to "we," "us," and "our" mean Rezumia and our affiliates. References to "you" mean the individual using the Services.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use paid Services. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Keep your password confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
• Be solely responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used for fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period.

3. The Services

Rezumia offers two primary pathways:

• Self-service AI builder. You author your resume or cover letter with the help of AI suggestions. You keep ownership of your content.
• Done-for-you writing. A certified writer creates a draft based on the brief you provide. Revisions are handled inside your dashboard.

Features, pricing, and turnaround times are described on the relevant product pages and may change from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.

4. Orders, Pricing & Payment

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. By placing an order you authorize us, or our payment processor, to charge the payment method you provide for the total amount, including any applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you may cancel at any time from your dashboard.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, plagiarized, or misleading information about yourself or others.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Services or their underlying AI models.
• Use the Services to harass, defame, or violate the legal rights of any person.
• Upload malware or any content that infringes intellectual-property rights.

We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe it violates these rules.

6. Your Content & License to Us

You retain all rights in the personal details, work history, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). To operate the Services we need a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you. We will not sell Your Content or use it to train third-party AI models without your consent.

7. AI Outputs

Drafts generated by our AI are suggestions intended to help you write a stronger resume or cover letter. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of every line before using it in a job application. AI output is provided "as is" and may occasionally contain inaccuracies; you should not rely on it as legal, financial, or career advice.

8. Intellectual Property

The Rezumia name, logo, templates, software, and all underlying technology are owned by Rezumia and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use them only in connection with the Services and not for any independent commercial purpose.

9. Refunds & Cancellation

Specific refund and revision policies vary by package and are described in the order checkout flow. Where applicable, your statutory rights — including any right of withdrawal — are explained in our Right of Withdrawal policy.

10. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that the Services will result in any specific employment outcome, interview, or offer. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rezumia's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Rezumia against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Services. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
